Skoda Auto, a brand that began as a bicycle manufacturer in 1895, has marked its 130th anniversary with a continued commitment to the world’s most prestigious cycling event—the Tour de France. This year marks Škoda’s 22nd consecutive year as the event’s official main partner, reinforcing its deep connection to both cycling and innovation.

Electrified Support Fleet for 2024

To support the 2024 Tour de France, Škoda is providing a fleet of 225 vehicles, including fully electric and plug-in hybrid models. Key models such as the Enyaq and Superb iV will serve various functions throughout the race. The Enyaq, an all-electric SUV, has been designated once again as the iconic ‘Red Car’—the mobile command center for the Race Director.

These vehicles are equipped with specialized communication systems, enabling seamless coordination during each stage of the 21-day race.

Iconic Crystal Trophies and the Green Jersey

Skoda Design continues its tradition of creating the official Tour de France crystal trophies. This year, each trophy features the company’s special 130-year anniversary branding. These trophies will be awarded in multiple categories including general classification, best young rider, points leader, and mountain classification.

Skoda is also sponsoring the prestigious green jersey, awarded to the top sprinter of the Tour.

Race and Fan Engagement Highlights

The 2024 edition of the Tour de France will run from July 5 to July 27, covering 21 stages and over 3,300 kilometers. A total of 184 riders from 23 teams will participate.

Skoda will further engage fans through interactive content and contests across its cycling-focused platforms. One highlight includes a behind-the-scenes look at the final stage on the Champs-Élysées, offered to fans via exclusive access experiences.
