The Mahindra XUV700 is gearing up for its first facelift, nearly four years after its successful debut. Recently, the camouflaged test mule of the SUV was spotted on Indian roads, indicating that Mahindra is preparing for an official launch sometime in late 2025. This upcoming version of the XUV700 is expected to bring fresh design tweaks, upgraded technology, and improved safety features while retaining the powerful performance that made it a market favorite.

The facelifted XUV700 was spotted with subtle changes to the front grille, redesigned LED headlamps, and new alloy wheel designs. Though the camouflage covers most details, insiders suggest that the interiors may also receive a tech overhaul — including updated infotainment systems, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and better connected-car tech.

Under the hood, the powertrain options are likely to remain the same, continuing with the robust 2.0L turbo-petrol and 2.2L diesel engine variants. Both manual and automatic transmissions, along with AWD options, are expected to be retained.

With the SUV market booming and competition intensifying from Tata, Hyundai, and Kia, Mahindra’s XUV700 facelift will aim to strengthen its presence in the mid-size SUV segment. The original version’s appeal came from its aggressive pricing, feature-packed trims, and strong performance — and the facelift will likely build on these pillars.

Bullet Points:

  • First major facelift since 2021 for the Mahindra XUV700

  • Spotted testing with camouflage; exterior updates visible

  • Likely upgrades include ADAS 2.0, infotainment, and design tweaks

  • Engine options expected to remain unchanged

  • Expected launch in late 2025 or early 2026
