Mahindra Introduces New RevX Variants in XUV 3XO Lineup

Mahindra & Mahindra has officially launched the new RevX variants of its compact SUV, the XUV 3XO, further enriching its offerings in the highly competitive sub-4-meter SUV segment. The new XUV 3XO RevX range starts at ₹8.94 lakh (ex-showroom), aimed at customers looking for a sporty yet affordable option in the compact SUV space.

RevX Variants: A Value-Driven Addition

The RevX variants are based on the AX5 and AX5 L trims, and primarily feature Mahindra’s 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine (TGDi). This engine produces 110 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. What sets the RevX trims apart is the balance of performance and pricing, with a more accessible feature list targeted at budget-conscious buyers.

Pricing and Variant Details

Here’s a quick look at the variant-wise pricing of the RevX models (ex-showroom):

  • AX5 RevX MT – ₹8.94 lakh

  • AX5 L RevX MT – ₹10.04 lakh

These models are designed to slot below their respective AX5 and AX5 L Turbo counterparts, offering a similar powertrain but without premium features like sunroof or advanced driver aids.

Design and Feature Highlights

While the RevX variants skip a few high-end features, they retain Mahindra’s signature LED DRLs, LED tail-lamps, 16-inch steel wheels, and a touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity. The cabin layout remains consistent with the other XUV 3XO models, ensuring a comfortable ride experience.

Mahindra has also focused on safety and efficiency, offering dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX mounts as standard.

Market Strategy and Competition

By launching the RevX variants, Mahindra is clearly targeting first-time SUV buyers and those looking to upgrade from hatchbacks or compact sedans. The price positioning under ₹9 lakh makes it an attractive offering against competitors like Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Maruti Brezza.
