Brutal Double Murder Shocks Lajpat Nagar

In a deeply disturbing crime, a 16-year-old boy walked into the scene of his mother’s murder inside their South Delhi home in Lajpat Nagar on Tuesday. The accused, identified as 26-year-old Shubham, is a former domestic help who allegedly harbored a grudge against the woman for scolding him years ago.

The Incident

According to Delhi Police, the boy had just returned home from tuition when he discovered his 45-year-old mother lying in a pool of blood. His 70-year-old grandmother was found stabbed as well. In a desperate attempt to save himself, the teen locked himself in the bathroom and alerted relatives and neighbors, who then called the police.

Accused Held, Confession Made

Police arrested Shubham shortly after the incident. During interrogation, he confessed that he had planned the attack as revenge. Reports suggest that the accused had previously worked at the victim’s home and was dismissed after being reprimanded. He held onto that resentment for years.

Motive and Method

Initial investigations reveal that the murder was premeditated. Shubham reportedly entered the house with a knife and first attacked the elderly woman, followed by her daughter. The teen son was spared, but police say he is in severe trauma after witnessing the bloodshed.

Investigation Underway

A case under IPC Sections 302 (murder) and 452 (house trespass with intent to assault) has been registered. The police are reviewing CCTV footage and phone records to determine if anyone else was involved or if the accused had any history of psychological issues.
