Housefull 5 Inches Close to ₹90 Crore Mark in Just Three Days
Bollywood’s favorite comedy franchise Housefull is back with its fifth installment, and it’s making big waves at the box office. Starring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Pooja Hegde, and others, Housefull 5 has crossed expectations by grossing nearly ₹90 crore in its first three days of release.
According to industry sources, the movie earned approximately ₹24 crore on Friday, followed by a surge to ₹31 crore on Saturday. Sunday witnessed a strong hold with ₹32 crore coming in, bringing the film’s estimated total weekend collection to ₹87–90 crore (net).
Despite facing mixed reviews from critics, audiences have turned up in large numbers, attracted by the franchise’s slapstick comedy, ensemble cast, and larger-than-life visuals. The opening has positioned Housefull 5 as Akshay Kumar’s highest first weekend grosser since the pandemic.
This is also one of the top three Bollywood openings of the year so far, only trailing behind big-budget films like Chhaava and Sikandar. With positive word-of-mouth among family audiences, the film is expected to continue performing well in the weekdays.
