Television actress Dipika Kakar recently underwent a 14-hour surgery for stage 2 liver cancer. Her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, confirmed that the procedure was successful, and she is now stable and recovering.
Television actress Dipika Kakar, renowned for her role in “Sasural Simar Ka,” was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer after experiencing persistent abdominal pain. Medical evaluations revealed a tumor the size of a tennis ball in her liver. On June 3, she underwent a 14-hour surgical procedure in Mumbai, during which doctors removed the tumor along with a small portion of her liver and her gallbladder, which had a stone.

Post-surgery, Dipika spent three days in the ICU and has since been moved to a regular hospital room. She is now on a normal diet, has begun walking, and her blood reports are normal. The tumor has been sent for biopsy, and results are awaited.
Shoaib Ibrahim expressed gratitude to fans for their prayers and support during this challenging time. He also shared that their son, Ruhaan, coped well during Dipika’s hospitalization, though he became emotional on the third day and was brought to the hospital to see his mother.
