Range Rover SV Black Edition Unveiled Ahead of Goodwood 2025
Range Rover has officially introduced the SV Black Edition, the latest addition to its high-end Special Vehicle Operations (SV) lineup. Designed to embody stealth, power, and immersive comfort, this new model features a fully blacked-out design, groundbreaking sensory technology, and a supercharged powertrain. The SV Black Edition sets a new benchmark in the luxury SUV segment, targeting a niche audience seeking exclusivity and innovation.
Stealth-Inspired Exterior Design
The SV Black Edition features a Narvik Gloss Black finish across all exterior elements, including the grille, badges, brake calipers, 23-inch wheels, carbon-fibre bonnet, and exhaust tips. Even the SV roundel on the tailgate is treated in black ceramic, making it the most visually uniform SUV Range Rover has produced.
All-Black Cabin with Sensory Enhancements
Inside, the SUV offers an entirely black cabin theme with options for Ebony Near-Aniline or Windsor leather, satin-black ceramic trim, black birch wood veneers, and subtle Moonlight Chrome details. Unique to this edition are features like the Sensory Floor, which uses haptic transducers beneath the carpet to allow passengers to physically feel audio or relaxation tones, and Body and Soul Seats that deliver immersive well-being experiences through six distinct programs.
Powerful V8 Performance
Under the hood, the SV Black Edition is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine delivering up to 635 PS and 750 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. The SUV is equipped with 6D Dynamics suspension and full-time all-wheel drive, combining comfort with track-capable performance.
Sustainability Meets Innovation
This model introduces industry-first eco-conscious tyres from Pirelli, made using over 70% bio-based and recycled materials, including FSC-certified rubber and silica from rice husk ash. It’s a nod to sustainability without compromising on capability or design.
