AIIMS Refutes COVID Vaccine Death Link; Cop Seeks VRS After CM Slap Row

AIIMS Debunks Vaccine Death Claim

In a significant clarification, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has stated there is no clear association between COVID-19 vaccines and sudden cardiac deaths. This comes after Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah publicly alleged that the vaccines might be responsible for a spike in cardiac-related fatalities.

The AIIMS Forensic Department, after reviewing multiple postmortem reports and data, concluded that COVID-19 vaccines are safe and not linked to sudden deaths. “There’s no direct causal evidence,” said the department head, urging the public to trust scientific findings over political claims.

Siddaramaiah’s Comment Sparks Row

Siddaramaiah’s statement earlier this week triggered concern and misinformation on social platforms. BJP leaders slammed the CM, demanding accountability for spreading fear during a sensitive health issue. AIIMS’ rebuttal serves as a critical effort to dispel myths and reassure vaccine confidence among the masses.

Cop Opts for VRS After ‘Slap Incident’

In a parallel development, a senior Karnataka police officer has filed for voluntary retirement, months after being allegedly humiliated by CM Siddaramaiah in public. The incident, dubbed the “air slap episode,” went viral after visuals appeared to show the CM gesturing angrily towards the officer during a public event.

The officer’s VRS plea cited mental stress and loss of dignity following the episode. Opposition parties have seized the moment, demanding a public apology from the CM, calling his actions “undemocratic and demeaning.”

Political Fallout Intensifies

BJP leaders have not only called for the CM’s apology but are also pushing for an independent probe into both issues—vaccine misinformation and alleged misconduct towards law enforcement.

As the debate intensifies, both incidents underscore how politics, public perception, and misinformation can quickly spiral into national headlines
