“The doctors who died were not only national assets, but also primary supporters for their families. ₹1 crore is not just compensation, it is a commitment to honoring their legacy,” the IMA letter read.
The association further demanded that dependent family members be granted scholarships, healthcare benefits, and employment opportunities as part of a larger corporate social responsibility initiative. It also requested Tata to establish a memorial or trust fund in memory of those who lost their lives.
